Harvard Medical School

United Kingdom Clinical Scholars Research Training (UKCSRT)

The UKCSRT Programme is wholly based in the UK. It is a unique collaboration between Harvard Medical School (HMS) and the Royal College of Physicians of London (RCP), and two academic Partners - Imperial College and University College London.

UKCSRT provides an intensive introduction to patient-oriented research using an innovative model of blended learning that combines live workshop teaching with online lectures. It represents a unique educational collaboration of clinical scientists from two premier academic medical institutions from both sides of the Atlantic - Harvard University in the United States and the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom.

In June 2015, Professor Kumar (Postgraduate Dean) was invited to lecture as part of the Programme.  Although held in London, UKCSRT participants are global with attendees from Australia, Africa, Europe and the UK.  It is also open multi professionally as the course is designed for research skills training.

The North East office of HEE is currently developing a partnership with Harvard and Durham University to deliver face to face session in our region. Details will be posted here and circulated around our networks in due course.
