Specialty Training Committee

 

The function of the G U Medicine Specialty Training Committee (STC) is:

  • To advise and support Health Education England North East and Cumbria in implementing Postgraduate Medical Education relevant to their Specialty
  • To collaborate with Health Education England North East and Cumbria in the local administration and delivery of specialist training (i.e. StR Programmes, recruitment and selection) within the regulations and guidelines of their College or Faculty
  • To deliver, through an appropriate panel the annual review of trainees progression against the relevant curriculum. (ARCPs)

 

 

 

 

The membership is drawn principally from the discipline or specialty concerned (one for each "Specialty" as identified by CCT), including college, regional or specialty advisors, representatives of SACs or the equivalent, Programme Directors and a Dean or Dean's representative (usually the SPC).
