Respiratory Medicine STC

 

Respiratory Medicine holds sub-committee meetings every four months called Specialty Training Committees (STCs) .

The function of the STC is:

  • to advise and support Health Education England North East in implementing Postgraduate Medical Education relevant to their Specialty
  • to collaborate with HEE NE in the local administration and delivery of specialist training (i.e. SpR Programmes, recruitment and selection) within the regulations and guidelines of their College or Faculty
  • to deliver, through an appropriate panel, the Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCPs)

The membership is drawn principally from the specialty concerned including training unit reps and college, regional or specialty advisors as well as a HEE NE representative.
