NIHR Greenshoots Scheme

 

Are you looking to develop your research skills to act as a Principal Investigator?
 
A Greenshoot makes a significant contribution to the conduct and delivery of a study by taking on the role of Principal Investigator (PI) with support from regional research infrastructure.
 
This scheme is currently open to applications from colleagues working in all 30 specialty areas.

NIHR Raising Awareness of and Embedding Research

 

Course outline
 
The course is delivered virtually and includes three workshops via Zoom, additional online learning resources and the opportunity to reflect and share your learning. The workshops will allow you to discuss aspects of health and social care research with expert presenters and your colleagues.
 
• The first workshop gives a general overview of research including the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Clinical Research Network (CRN), basics of clinical research and more.
• The second workshop is all about research practicalities and will give you an understanding of the different ways you can be involved in research.
• The third workshop is about useful behaviours in research which will help you to engage with your colleagues and research participants in your practice.
