The Academic Progress Group is a collaboration of Health Education England NE (HEE NE), Lead Employer Trust (LET), Academic Clinical Office and Trust Representation.
The purpose of this Group is:-
- to progress joint work, discuss and agree overlapping areas of work
- to design/agree processes and policies to ensure and develop better communication
- to collaborate and work together on approaches to work
- to resolve issues and concerns
- to develop, achieve and maintain high standards of accuracy and quality of all academic data held within the HEE NE's database.
The Academic Progress Group will work in partnership with the Northern Academic Training Group to ensure that there is the best possible access to academic medical training and research opportunities in the North East, whilst adhering to the guidance produced by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Department of Health Gold Guide.
