ACADEMIC TRAINING GROUP

 

 

The Northern Academic Training Group is a collaboration of Health Education England NE (HEE NE) and academic partners, principally the Clinical Academic Team (Newcastle University). 

The purpose of this Group is:-

  • to define the academic strategy
  • to ensure best possible access to academic medical training and research opportunities in the North East
  • to work with non-medical academic partners across HEE NE area
  • to adhere to the guidance produced by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and the Department of Health Gold Guide
  • to oversee the work of medical and non-medical academic operational groups as required.
