Special Skills Information
All doctors training in Acute Internal Medicine must develop a specialist skill. These generally fall into one of four categories:
- Procedural skill (eg: echocardiography)
- Additional Qualification (eg: medical education)
- Specialty Interest (eg: intensive care medicine)
- Research
The complete list of specialist skills with links to further information can be found within the AIM forms and guidance section of the JRCPTB website.
Trainees wishing to apply for a skill which is not on the list should contact Dr Nadia Stock (TPD) who will raise this with the AIM Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC).
