BMA Industrial Action
March 2023
As you may be aware, the BMA and HCSA unions have announced junior doctors will go on strike on Monday 13 March, concluding on the morning of Thursday 16 March.
This industrial action is in relation to a national pay and conditions dispute and isn’t something that can be resolved by the Lead Employer Trust.
Junior doctors who intend to strike are being asked not to begin any shift that is due to start after 06:59 on Monday 13 March 2023 or before 06:59 hours on Thursday 16 March 2023. If a junior doctor is working a Sunday night shift that finishes after 7am, they will complete their shift (even if the shift ends after 7am meaning they work into the strike period) and hand over as usual. They will start work again after 06:59 on Thursday 16th March 2023.
Please view the LET Frequently Asked Questions document for further details. If you have any further questions please email the LET on nhc-tr.lethelpdesk.ne@nhs.net
