Trainees on training programme will be required to sit and pass Part A and the Part B (OSPHE) examinations.

HEE NE hold local support programmes to help trainees prepare for both of these examinations.

  • Part A is intended to test a candidate's knowledge and understanding of the scientific bases of public health.
  • We run a comprehensive Part A revision course each Autumn for those sitting the exam

  • Part B is designed as a ‘show how' assessment of the candidate's ability to apply relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes to the practice of public health.
