The GP programme is offering a pilot programme to support GP Doctors in Training who have had at least 1 unsuccessful attempt at the AKT.
The aim of the programme is;
- Proactive support programme to improve pass rates for the AKT
- To improve support for trainees who have sat but not yet passed the AKT
- To improve peer support
- To create dedicated learning time
- To deliver bespoke study skills education
- Opportunities for feedback and TPD support
- Creation of a bespoke action plan
Learner eligibility
- Those who have sat and not yet passed the AKT will be invited after each exam results release (KC) and invited to enrol on the AKT PASS programme via the website
- Learners MUST attend a full day PASS day to be able to access the peer support half day elements.
- Learners can attend the PASS day as a stand alone but anyone who has been unsuccessful more than once is strongly encouraged to attend the full programme

The programme includes a full day (2 sessions) in person session looking at study skills, common reasons for exam failure and developing a study game plan.
There are then 2 subsequent afternoon sessions (one of which will have TPD support) for peer facilitated study.
