Life as a Leadership & Management Fellow

Thanks for tuning in again to the HEENE Brief. The second episode is now live and available to listen to as part of our commitment to demonstrating the work we are doing on the reputation the North East has as arguably the best place to train.

Episode 1

Listen to the second 'HEENE Brief' podcast here.

During this episode, hosted by Greg Stamp, the fellows discuss their work on:

  • Advertising the up-and-coming application for the HEENE Leadership and Management Fellowship Aug 2021

  • Extended IPT programme for GPs and it’s first intake
  • Setting up the first regional forum for clinical informatics to support the Flexible Training Portfolios
  • Why the Junior Doctor Forum is important and how this framework can be used across all trusts.
  • Highlighting the importance of End of Life care and the up and coming programmes available

As a follow on from the last podcast, we have had positive feed back from the Supported Return to Training Webinar last month. Over 20 trainees joined us as we explained the SuppoRTT programme with input from the LET, SPC’s and current Doctors out of programme. Our next session is on Parental Leave, bookable via the FAST booking system and due to take place at 5:30pm to 7:00pm on 8th December.

We will soon have a multifaith calendar available to be accessed as part of the work Greg has been undertaking to ensure we can be understanding of religious festivals and important date when organising rotas or workshops. This has been taken to the TEF for review and Deans Management Team for final consideration.

As always, we would love your feedback and suggestions. Please email Matt Gray: Matt.Gray@hee.nhs.uk  or  Justin Green: Justin.Green@hee.nhs.uk
