North East Mentorship Scheme (NEMS)

About

The North East Mentorship Scheme has been established to provide formal mentoring partnerships between 1st year core trainees and specialty registrars. Evaluations of the scheme have shown significant benefits for both the mentees and mentors.

  • 100% of mentees and mentors recommend joining the scheme

  • Mentees feel better prepared for specialty training and interviews or achieving self-development goals

  • Mentors feel increased confidence in supervising and training
