As a GP trainer we have a statutory requirement to notify the GMC of your appointment and reappointment, which normally happens every five years. We ask you to complete a questionnaire, which is considered alongside information provided by the training programme. The School no longer routinely visits practices and most of your contact will be through the training programme you are attached to and their appraisal system. However, you do need to notify the School when you move premises or if your practice undergoes significant change.
