A new year and a new start…well, almost. This is the third Episode in the HEENE Brief series and Mark, Greg, Justin and Matt, the Leadership Fellows, discuss their ongoing work in the North East.

Mark hosts the Podcast this month talks to the fellows about their work in a diverse and interesting group of projects including his own; setting up a team of mentors in surgical specialties to help new doctors or those exploring their options with everyday advice on getting involved. Greg explains how he has taken an idea to promote peer recognition and turned it into reality, by developing a business case, pitching to the Executive teams in HEENE and commissioning suppliers.

 

Matt has been working to ensure there is clear and consistent guidance on junior doctors working in the private sector. He shares practical advice on how to work and train in Private hospitals. While Justin highlight a few of the options available to trainees who find themselves shielding due to COVID-19. He also highlights a forthcoming programme of wellbeing events across the region.
