Virtual Oral Health Training
Training for pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, medicine counter assistants and all front-line staff.
The aim of our training is to:
- Explain the impact of oral health on general health
- Give an overview on NICE guidelines oral health for older people in care homes
- Offer advice about pain relief, teething, dry mouth and other oral conditions
- Discuss the importance of fluoride toothpaste and supervised brushing
- Share the importance of sugar free medication
- Highlight the importance of regular dental check ups in accordance with NICE guidlines
- 1 hour training session delivered via MS Teams
