Physical health care for people with severe mental illness - for ACPs and PAs in primary care
Maudsley Learning is running a free, national half-day online course for ‘Physical Health Care for People with Severe Mental Illness’ as part of the strategy to improve physical health care outcomes in individuals with severe mental illness.
This course will provide an overview of systemic barriers and how practical adaptions can be implemented to ensure the physical health needs of individuals with serious mental health illness are met. Existing legal frameworks and evidenced based guidelines for primary care services will be covered along with guidance around working collaboratively with stakeholders and clinical teams to maintain effective patient care.

The event is open to any qualified ACPs, HEE trainee ACPs, ACP leads and ACP supervisors, who are all within primary care.
The day will consist of a variety of speakers and workshops to showcase career options open to ACPs in primary and community care with a focus on the opportunities to work across the four pillars of advanced practice.
