The Training Needs Analysis 2023/24 is now closed. Thank you for your response!

Training Needs Analysis

The What?

The Training Needs Analysis has been developed as a survey for the general practice workforce, where you can answer questions open and honestly around your level of proficiency and developmental needs.

The Why?

The results of this will be analysed by the Primary Care Training Hub to identify areas where the workforce could benefit from further training. We will then work with training providers and higher education institutes to provide the resources and training to support your development needs.

The How?

Working with our stakeholders and front line professionals, we have conducted pilot studies to ensure that the skills frameworks used are comprehensive and results of which can be utilised to shape funding plans.

The Survey?

The below flowchart shows the journey of the Training Needs Analysis and how The Primary Care Training Hub utilise the results:

The survey will take approximatley 7 minutes to complete and will ask of your competence and training needs of various skills relevant to your role. This will help us to identify areas where training is needed, allowing us to fund training and development opportunities in these area for the 2023/24 financial year.

What Staff Groups?

The survey will give a fantastic opportunity for primary care staff to think about their current and future development needs, if within one of the following staff groups:

Through the pilots and previous years’ results, we've been able to commission training based on the needs of our workforce. Our full survey will utilise more responses from each staff group, and therefore give a fuller picture of the needs of our workforce. From this, you can expect to see more relevant training opportunities being commissioned through the Training Hub.
