Revalidation

Revalidation is the General Medical Council’s way of regulating licensed doctors to give extra confidence to patients that their doctors are up to date and fit to practise.

Foundation Training

The Foundation Programme (FP) is a two year generic training programme which forms the bridge between medical school and Specialty/General Practice Training. During the Foundation Programme, trainees have the opportunity to gain experience in a series of placements in a variety of specialties and healthcare settings.

Specialty Training

Within Health Education North East we coordinate and facilitate the training of secondary care specialties within the North East.

We work closely with clinicians in every specialty either through a School structure and / or through a Specialty Training Committee, to provide the highest possible quality education and training for our trainees.

The directorate offers high quality training and education for the whole dental team, right from the very start of your career through to your later years as a dental professional.

The population of the north east benefits from the highest rate of access to NHS dental services in the country: because of this, we are able to offer comprehensive and varied training programmes tailored to the region’s needs.
